GCPE also provides opportunities for your organization to receive statewide recognition for the powerful strides your team makes to improve organizational performance through the annual GCPE Performance Excellence Awards program.
Based on the Malcolm Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence, the Georgia Center for Performance Excellence leverages the expertise and knowledge of trained experts on the Baldrige framework as well as Subject-Matter Expert (SME) Coaches knowledgeable in many areas of business. GCPE believes in sharing tools for excellence and providing expert resources through our unique Scholarship Program to ensure successful implementation of these tools.No more going to seminars and leaving empty handed with only theory and no way to implement what you just learned. GCPE events provide tangible tools you can take back to your organization for immediate implementation and expert support after the event to help make sure you have the knowledge you need to put those powerful tools into action.GCPE also provides expert resources through our unique Scholarship Program to ensure successful implementation of these valuable tools and approaches. We also believe in celebrating success by providing recognition to those organizations who demonstrate measurable improvements as a result of their efforts toward achieving excellence.Organizations can be involved in several ways:
- by applying for participation on the Georgia Center for Performance Excellence Board of Directors.
- by participating in GCPE Power Tools Sessions.
- by applying for the GCPE Scholarship Program which provides expert support to help organizations
successfully implement tools and approaches to conquer challenges and achieve excellence.- by applying for a GCPE Award for Excellence .
Individuals can be involved by attending GCPE Power Tools Sessions and by pledging their volunteer time as a Subject Matter Expert Coach in a personal area of significant experience and knowledge. All you need is a passion to help Georgia organizations achieve excellence and knowledge that will be of great value to organizations receiving scholarships. SME Coaches are screened through our SME Coach application process and are paired with organizations whose needs match their area of expertise.
The Georgia Center for Performance Excellence Scholarship Program will pair your organization with a SME Coach in the specific area your organization would like to improve. Members can seek help from a specific SME Coach after applying to the Scholarship Program through GCPE
Be a GCPE Subject Matter Expert Coach. GCPE SME Coaches volunteer eight hours each month to share their expertise with organizations in search of knowledge in a particular subject area of their business. SME Coaches who have served scholarship organizations with the highest number of volunteer hours annually will be recognized at the GCPE recognition event and listed in the event brochure. SME Coaches and their organizations, if applicable, will receive written recognition of hours donated on an annual basis.How can my organization receive recognition?
Apply to recognize your organization’s journey to excellence through the GCPE Performance Excellence Awards. In 2009 applications for organizational recognition will be available for three levels of excellence illustrating initial commitment to using the framework to improve your organization, a progress award for demonstrating early results in several key systems that are strategic for the organization with early results of actions taken using the framework, and the ultimate award for Excellence demonstrating to assessors that your organization is a role model for other Georgia organizations to learn from, with measurable results and sustainable processes which ensure continuous dedication to excellence and a culture of improvement within the organization.
